| What is a truck driver? |

Being a truck driver is one of the most important professions in the nation. Yet most people are arrogant to this small fact. The people who drive cars and pick ups (4 wheelers) seem to think that we are lazy and undereducated. On the contrary. In our profession there are doctors, lawyers, Pastors. The list is endless. Also that a truck drivers life is exceptionally hard. We work 11 hrs a day sometimes 14 hrs a day 7 days a week year round (does this look filmiar??) Last I looked our military is 24/7 365, so are we. On any given day there are 4.5 millon, yes millons of trucks on the road in our nation. We deliver everything to your local store and i mean everything you own is carried by a truck like mine, there are 22 differant types and makes of trucks, diffearnt sizes and differant ablities; more weight, legenth, width. Your normal truck weighs with full load 80,000 pounds, for thoes who can not do the math thats 40 tons. Other trucks with multiple wheels, more than 18 can carry up to 110,000 lbs. I have done this and its scarry to think that a car or pick up would be dumb enough to cut me off. So think about this little fact the next time You cut in front of us, is this truck loaded or not? why take the risk? get 300' in front of us when passing, and when passing do not stop!! keep going do not get terrified 1/2 way past. Do not tail gate us we can not see you and this is like commiting suicide, do not pass us on the right when we are turning in any direction u will be crushed when our trailers swings back. Again, killing you. Trust me no matter how cool your rig is, you will be crushed when the 34,000 lb trailer tire runs your car over pulverising u and everything. So in the end of this just respect the trucker, and he or she will respect you and yes there are women in our profession, though we need more women.
